There is 2 men that I know of that have done it both alone. One was a retired police officer from Mid Michigan and One guy went from Oregon to North Carolina twice. For us it will be a family affair, me being the only experienced rider though LOL hubby has only been on a horse once when I took him for his birthday one year. My kids had lessons but short lived when the 65 year old instructer broke his hip and decided to retire so I plan on having them do some lessons again before we do this. In any case, if you google "people who crossed us on horseback" you will actually find quite a few stories! If I ever have the money to do so I would love to take my wife to the Four Seasons Tokyo. Far and away the best hotel I have ever stayed at or seen!
