March 2012 Stats and Last Weeks Mentions
I know that most of us who blog are stats junkies so it is almost required that you feed the readers with some sort of stats occasionally. Below is my attempt to keep you all happy, plus it gives me an excuse to track these things on a monthly basis and publish them for all posterity.
Metric | March | February |
---|---|---|
Alexa | 124,632 | 296,310 |
PageRank | 1 | 1 |
mozRank | 4.73 | 4.73 |
Total visitors | 4,814 | 1,781 |
Unique visitors | 3,323 | 1,157 |
Pageviews | 9,682 | 3,535 |
Avg Time on site | 2:45 | 2:54 |
Bounce Rate | 64.64% | 63.00% |
As you can see, March was quite a growth month with visitors and pageviews up nearly 300%! It would be nice to think I can keep that torrid pace up going forward…we’ll see. Consistent with the growth in traffic there was a drop of over 170,000 in my Alexa rank and with momentum like that I’m sure I can break through 100,000 by the end of April.
On the negative side, time on site and bounce rate both took a small hit. They are still not bad, but I am hoping this isn’t the beginning of a downward trend.
In addition to the wonderful March I had here last week saw another large bunch of mentions around the interwebs. Thanks go out to all the sites below who were kind enough to mention Money Infant in one way or another:

Impressive growth Steve! I’m jealous of that traffic and alexa ranking improvement. Hopefully you can keep up that momentum and get below 100k alexa soon. I’m confident that you’ll get there way before the month is over.
Hope so too. Lots of holidays in April here in Thailand. As long as I don’t back track all is good. I think you’re not too far from that 100k Alexa either man!
Yes looks like I’m back nipping at your heels. I’m sure your little break played a big part in that though.
I think by end of April you would break the 100k Barrier. Cheers
I certainly hope so!
You’re site is doing great, Steve.
You have been very prolific and consistent, and your hard work is paying off.
We’re slowly but surely closing in on 100,000 Alexa as well.
It will be fun to see who gets there first.
Thanks Jefferson. Not as prolific and consistent as I think I should be though. Damn type A personality!
I’ll be enjoying the race to
50k100kMan, those are some really impressive stats, Steve! Congrats on all of your success, you’ve earned it!
Thanks! Now to keep the momentum going!
Great stats! That’s incredible growth. It looks like you are hitting your stride.
Don’t worry about bounce rate, they will go up as you gain more SE visitors.
I was pretty amazed myself when I saw the huge percentage jump. I’ll take a higher bounce rate for more SE visitors, sounds like a good trade to me
Some powerful blog stats! Congratulations on the growth of your great blog. I’ll need to tear a page out of your playbook, and work as hard as you did to get where you are.
You were featured on a lot of other blogs, which is a testament to your discipline and work ethic, Very nice!
All those features certainly did help. Thanks for the kind words Anthony.
Very impressive, Steve! Way to grow!
Thanks Nick, I’m just doing it to keep you chasing after me
Those are some impressive stats. Keep it up!
Thanks, I’ll sure try!
Steve, you are a rising star. Your stats prove that. Keep writing great stuff and the rest will fall in place smoothly.
Thanks Shilpan. I’m not so sure about the star part, but who am I to argue with my readers
March certainly was a growth month for you. I wouldn’t worry about the bounce rate and time on site too much. I find those stats tend to vary for me depending on where my site is featured.
March was amazing. Now if I could string 4 or 5 more months like that together! The bounce rate and time on site were small variances so I’m not really worried, other than considering the possibility that it is going to trend that way.
